All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
In today's Rochester D&C, they quote Wilson as being miffed about the decision to punt on NE's 32. They quote him as saying he couldn't believe it, and that was when the game turned around.
This is the type of stuff that get s coach fired, not the record.
I agree BF1, that was the worst I've seen in a long time!! I'm still having a hard time dealing with it. I also think he should have reviewed the Remersma catch in the endzone.
See me here pushing you
If I then deny I do
Contemplate or wish away
If I ask you not to stay
I don't dispute Wilson is miffed, and I agree it was a dumb call, but I don't personally think that Wilson will fire his coach based on one coaching decision or one game. Nor do I think he should fire a coach based on one coaching decision or one game. I think at the end of the season the owner needs to ask, "Is the team getting better, and if not is it the coach's fault." I think the answer this year is, "Yes, the team has gotten better." Now, as the team gets better, the bar has to be set higher. If we have a 10-6 record this year, 10-6 won't be good enough next year unless there are circumstances beyond the coach's control that are significant enough that he deserves a grace period. Bottom line: I think the Bills coaches and players all had a bad game Sunday and there are things that need fixing, but knee jerk reactions rarely result in smart decisions and firing Williams or Gray or cutting Mike Hollis etc. are all knee jerk reactions.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
