BZFFL#1 Week 9 Recap
Byes have big impact
as 8 teams score 70 or less

Aero Planes (Aero II) - 67
Earthquake Zone (Earthquake Enyart) – 94

Earthquake Zone (6-3) is arguably the hottest team in the league. After racking up their 5th straight win thanks to a bunch of screen passes to Tom Brady (36 pts.), a 19 point performance from Terrell Owens, and 14 points from a surprising Cardinals D, the Zone is a team to be reckoned with.

Aero Planes (4-5) started out the season strong, but have now lost 2 straight. A big fat goose egg from Joey Harrington didn’t help. Neither did the 2 points from a usually dependable Chargers D. 3 players in the teens wasn’t enough.

Outlook: Earthquake remains in a tie at the top of the Central. Aero Planes, while under .500, are actually in a 3-way tie for first in the West. They’d better win the West because there will be no wild card from that division.

Ferdilizers (CalBillsFan) – 70
The Route 20A Cows (Philagape) – 82

The Route 20A Cows (9-0) take a back seat to no one. The Packers D won it for them on Monday Night despite Ricky Williams’ poor showing. Jimmy Smith also added 18. It wasn’t impressive, but it was enough to remain unbeaten, a nearly impossible feat this late in the season.

Ferdilizers (4-5) had a huge day from both Jeff Garcia (27 pts) and the Falcons D (20 pts). Too bad no one else got out of single digits.

Outlook: The Cows remain in command oif the East. Ferdilizers are tied for the lead in the West.

The Lake Eerie Monsters – 62
Hart Attack (Don137) – 66

Marshall Faulk is officially back, and Hart Attack (7-2) is officially happy. Faulk carried the Attack on his back with 28 points, nearly half of the Attack’s points. Normally this would have been an automatic loss, but fortunately for the Attack…

The Lake Eerie Monsters (5-4) were worse. 24 points from Payton Manning was the only score worth mentioning.

Outlook: Hart Attack is forunate to remain just 2 games behind the Cows in the East. Monsters are just one game back in the Central.

Rochester Rampage (Mike32282) – 105
TacklingDummyRJ – 96

The Rochester Rampage (4-5) stormed back with the high score of the week after a dismal few weeks. A lethal combination of Tiki Barber and Ahman Green combined for 54 points. The Titans D even added 19.

TacklingDummyRJ (1-8) couldn’t catch a break if it smacked them in the face. They scored the second most points in the league…and lost the game.

Outlook: The Rampage, the lone victor in the West, pull into a tie for first. TDRJ is done.

clumping platelets – 61
Yonkers Platypi Trappers (BF1) - 61

clumping platelets (3-5-1) entered Monday Night’s game down by 5 points. They got 5 from Chris Chambers, which resulted in the first tie of the season. The Steelers D also pitched in 20.

Yonkers Platypi Trappers (3-5-1) had a rough day as well. Drew Bledsoe and Peerless price scored 15 and 14 respectively, but that was only good enough to manage a tie.

Outlook: Although these teams have identical records, they are in very different playoff positions. You can all but put a fork in the Trappers, while the Platelets are just a half-game out of first in the terrible Western Division.

ebenezer - 67
The Mean Sharks (lordofgun) – 43

This week’s automatic win went to ebenezer (6-3). Only 3 players scored in the teens, but it was more than enough to beat the Bite-less Mean Sharks (1-8).

Outlook: ebenezer is in a tie for first in the Central. Although if the season ended today, ebenezer would win the central because of a better division record. The Sharks have been hooked, dragged ashore, gutted, skinned, de-toothed, and ground to tiny pieces.

WEEK 10 Game of the week: Hart Attack vs. Earthquake Zone Hart Attack tries to keep it’s grip on the wild card. EZ will try to shed the tie in the Central.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If the season ended after Monday Night’s game, playoff teams would be:
1. The Route 20A Cows (East)
2. ebenezer (Central)
3. Aero Planes (West)
4. Hart Attack (wild card)

Teams eliminated from the playoffs: The Mean Sharks, TacklingDummyRJ

I knew Miami would suck, so I added John Davis and benched McMichael. I would have won by 1 pt if I had left in McMichael
