All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
when was this and how did it hurt / help his career?
i have only recently (past year) started listening to the cocky *****s show.
It put him on the map. I think he got fired after this whole incident and that's when he landed his radio and TV gigs. It still is one of the funniest things I have ever seen!
Everett: "I bet you won't call me that again."
Rome: "I bet I will"
pause
Rome: "Chris"
scurmish ensues
I still think it was set up. It seems too hilarious to be real.
Interesting thought actually. If you look very closely at the way Jim grabs the table just before dumping it, it almost looks like it was on cue as there is a very slight delay. If you are THAT pissed off enough to throw a table and go after someone on television, you're going to be alot more forceful and quick. It felt too "controlled".
On the other hand, if it was real, I wish that Everett would have broken that d*ck's nose.

No way is that fake. You can see Everett starting to get flustered and then he just snaps. His voice even starts to get shaky because he knows something is going to go down!

That's what made me think it was set up. He had his hands on the table and then moved his hands right at the edge, right before Jim Rome says Chris. He then flips it over exactly at the same time Rome is finishing saying Chris. It's timed PERFECTLY.

I dont think it was fake....you never been in a fight where you go through the motions before u actually do them...he was anticipating that Rome was calling him that again.
By the way... I went to play it again and it stopped before the fight????????
