Teams always are on the look out for players who are cut by other teams and who are upgrades IN THEIR SYSTEM for players they kept. Continuity is important but the Bills are certainly willing to replace players with released players on waiver wire. Agents will be selling their clients to the Bills.

Who is thinking that they survived the Turk temporaily?

Personally I think that the waive/PS sign period is too short. Should be at least two days.

Tomorrow we can start assigning players to the practice squad right?

Tomorrow in afternoon after players pass waivers. Buffalo Bills front officev has probably had a list of players they are interested in for some time.

It seems odd for them to do it on Labor Day doesn't it?
It would feel even odder to be laid off on a Sunday and not get paid for Labor Day!

Think of all those admin people who have to work Labor Day because NFL choose to have waiver wire to begin on Monday rather than Tuesday,

Actually, the ''Turk" is the one who wields the axe, not the bird who gets chopped. I think that Turk is a nickname for the Turkish guy in the mask who traditionally did the beheading for the sultan or emir or whomever.
