I think TD has done an awesome job so far.

What is our biggest weakness this coming season?

I say our secondary...mainly safety.

I agree AWM. The Bills seem to have an over abundance at the SS slot, but the FS position is lacking. Clements and Winfield are strong but they lack talented depth.

D Line.

I hope it's not head coach.

Do we still have Jake Arians??

I would say if everyone is 100%, our weakness is DL

If 1 person got hurt, then I would say it is MLB or QB, as much as I like Alex, he wont do it for a full year. He is a come off the bench type of player, not a 60min/16games guy.

jake arians was cut last year and replaced by graham. D-line is easily our biggest weakness

I think our biggest weakness is at FS. Tillman has been junk for Buffalo and i actually expect him to be the opening day starter like he was two years ago. Prioleau is converted to FS and i am not sure about his coverage skills either

D-Line...other than that we are as solid as anyother team...in the era of the salcap everyteam has a weakness.

Our biggest weakness is a lack of new threads.

Coaching, until I see otherwise.

DL as is. If there are any injuries then we're in a real world heap...

Someone may step up, but until that time, it's gotta be the DL.

DL....we're solid at every other position.

It's been over two months and three games are in the books for the 2002 season since this thread.
I thought it would be interesting to see if the same thoughts are still out there on the subject.

How about the linebackers support or (lack of) in stopping the run.

Other than that we are right on target.

In Tom we trust.

I think Buffalo's D-line is not quite as bad as we feared and will continue to improve. The linebackers are not as good as we hoped and probably won't improve much, though Fletcher might pick up his play. I think the Broncos exposed a little weakness in depth at CB.

On offence the whole passing game is at least as strong as any but the most optimistic fan could have hoped for, but we are disappointed in the running game. I'm not certain we can identify the personnel that the weakness in the running game has been caused by.

I think maybe the biggest weakness now is linebacking.

The LBs are having problems because the DL is not keeping the blockers off them. Thats been Fletchers problem. They are singling Ahanatu and Edwards, and Schobel is better off being blocked by the TE. If you Double PW, that still leaves a free man to go find a LB, plus there is usually a FB too

Gotta agree - the D is suspect. Too easy for teams to run on us and when safeties are making tackles of running backs, its a bad sign.

After Drew - who do we have? AVP can mop up but proved he's not the starter. Brown is a non-entity yet. Lets' hope Drew starts getting hit way less.

Head Coaching is our BIGGEST problem. With all the talent we have on defense it should be alot better then it is.

A diabolical pass rusher. For 2 reasons:

1) Force the run to the inside, allowing the LBs to seal some holes and..

..2) hurrying the pass allows the secondary to spend less time chasing receivers around the field and providing more of an oppotunity to make a play on the ball.

DT I would say cause the other teams RB's are going right up the middle on us
