Free agent acquisition Marcus Price may not be all he's cracked up to be. Playing right tackle on the second team, Price was not able to contain Erik Flowers who got in for a sack on Alex Van Pelt ...

Maybe Eric has improved??? Then again, he's playing with the second team.

Can they cut him if they need to without a serious cap hit?

I was definatly dissapointed when we got that guy. He's kinda old and kinda bad and that's not a good combo.

Agreed: If a lineman gets beat in a srimmage we should cut him immediately. Then, after we run out of linemen we should...

We have to remember that when Price was acquired by the Bills, John Fina's career was in question and Mike Williams was just a wet dream in TD's pants.

I was listening to coach dickerson on WGR 55 today and he said he was really impressed with Price? He said he was pleasantly supprised by Price's footwork and athletic ability. I know the Dickerson is a big mouth jerk but I do think he knows football.
Maybe the Flowers sack was a fluke?

Or maybe Eric Flowers is actually improving! He also said Teague looked lost today at center. Hope that improves!

BTW, if he does stay and we re-sign Shawn Price, and if you throw in Peerless =

1)S. Price 2)P. Price 3)M. Price?

could be BTR46. It's all speculation at this point. But that's what message boards are for, eh?

Flowers beats M. Price to record a sack. Dickerson lauds Price and slams Flowers. Makes perfect sense. . . on planet Zog.

Oh well. It's early. Things should become more clear as time goe on.

I wasn't at all impressed by the signing of Price or Teague. In 12 NFL seasons between them, they have 20 starts, and all of those belong to Teague, and while I've looked but can't find it, I think 16 of those were due to an injury on Denver last year.

What have these guys, either of them done in the NFL. I've always looked at both of them as backup material. But we could have had some very serious Gs or other linemen for about the same. I've been scratchin' my head ever since both of them were signed. I'm not expecting anything other than backup roles for either.

I also think Conaty did a decent job last year while not even playing 100% to warrant another shot at C for us this season. Guess the coaches see it differently. He was not the weak link on our OL last year by a long shot.

It should be Jennings, Brown, Conaty, Os, Williams until MW can play LT.
