For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.

i havent given up all hope yet. everyone thought baseball was doomed a couple years ago but they pulled it together at the last second. im hoping nhl can do something like that too.

Enough blame to go around. The ones that get screwed are the poor schleps who work the security or ticket sales and , of course, the fans

              I'm still holdin' out hope

Base Ball and Hockey are two entirely different sports.

thanks for stating the obvious but business is still business. these lockouts are not about the sports, they're about the business. a lockout is for the same reason in hockey as it is in baseball as it is in football as it is in basketball. ironically, mlb was going to have a lockout for reasons very similar to the ones that are bringing upon the nhl lockout.

umm the business maybe the same cetegory (sports) but the proceedings are entirely different,

Base Ball, Owners Can Afford to pay someone 11 Million to Catch a Ball,

Hockey Is Different, Players Want More moeny, and the owners/Management want to pay them less money

its not about how much per player, its about how much per team. a lot of baseball owners wanted a salary cap or something like it, exactly like the hockey owners right now. and do you think hockey is the only sport where players want more money and owners/management want to give them less? thats congruent with every league you will find. besides, players arent holding out for more money seing as they offered a 10% pay cut for everyone in the their last proposal.

                        err..
thats what i was getting at,

some teams can afford it.. ex. the NY Rangers,

                        Salary Cap is Good,

The rangers wont buy up all the good players and blow their careers to crap.
