I'm at an even 24%. Average for women is 23%-27%. Low/Lean is 19%-22% and very lean is anything under 19%.

The woman I spoke with told me that since I was at the low end of average, I should be able to get down another few percentage points. She's going to measure me about every 6 weeks. Hopefully by December I'll be a lean, mean fighting machine!:flex:

I still weight 118 pounds, but my clothes are starting to feel looser. I am also able to run at a steady 6mph for 20 solid minutes! For me that's really good since I don't run for endurance. I can run for a few minutes at a time but then I get very winded. At the end of 20 minutes, I am not very winded at all and I feel good! I'm sure I can do more, but I like to warm up by walking for 5 minutes and I only do the treadmill for 25 minutes total and the bike for 30-35 minutes each day. After the opener, I'm going to see if I can up my run time to 25 minutes.

So, slowly but surely I'm making progress even if the freaking numbers on the scale won't budge!

Thanks, Mikey! Although I'm not too sure how happy I am with that number. I thought it would've been lower than that. And, I hope I am able to get it in the lean range. :grovel:

I had a GREAT workout this morning! I was able to run 6.0 mph for 23 mintues! I could've done a full 25 minutes, but I need to walk for the first 2 minutes of my workout just so I get my footing on the treadmill.

The reason is muscle mass is denser than fatty tissue mass so as you convert fatty tissue to muscle you are making the tissue smaller but it weighs the same. The good news is muscle mass resting burns more calories than fatty tissue so your body should burn off the fatty tissue quicker.

Good luck. I am on the BJ Diets (Ben and Jerry's)
