This will not be settled at the last moment, with no meetings scheduled yet there will not be a resolution for a while...

The owners are claiming that they'll lose less money overall by not having a season, the smart ****ing businesspeople that they are. What a joke.

                For the Sabres:

$300 million war chest to be divided equally...

$10 million savings by not playing...

That means last year's $7 mill loss becomes a $13 million gain this year...they will have no problem making an entire season disappear.

This sucks. Personally I don't think the NHL will ever recover from this. It took what 8 years for MLB to finally recover, and the fan base and TV contracts are way higher.

There's truth to the saying Buffalo is a drinking town with a football problem, where a passionate fan base believes it has more answers than Ken Jennings on "Jeopardy."

I can't fathom what either the owners or NHLPA hope to accomplish with this crap. The NHL fanbase is already a small group, and they look to alienate even more people with this. The only positive (Ok, it's not really a positive) is that the NHL is getting more TV time than it has recently with this lockout.

Superleague with a European Division and a North American (former NHL) Division made up of Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Detroit and NY here we come

The other scrub cities can apply to join the AHL.
