Should McGahee be the goal-line back???

I think this will play out over the season.

He is much more patient than Travis looking for daylight.

I think they should have at least given him 1 shot

what could hurt with him being the goal line back? He doesnt get in the endzone? Then we just move Henry in that spot. Might as well go with our options if we have them.

He clearly was very good in the preseason.

on one hand, I want the team to do what's necessary to win. On the other hand- I've always hated "goal line" backs- let one guy do all the work moving it down the field then bring in another guy when it's time to get the glory.

I got murdered on these boards last year for criticizing Henry, but....

My biggest complaint with T.H. is that he NEVER seems to get that extra tough yard. I know the line has been poor, but the Special Backs in the NFL always seem to find that extra half yard or get the ball across the line. It seems to me that most of Henry's short yardage success comes when he is basically untouched.

I don't think it is a power thing, i think it is a quickness thing, he just can't seem to make that slight adjustment that means the difference.

That being said, I am glad he is a Bill and I wouldn't just give him away

I like McGahee, and I think he probably is Buffalo's future at RB. I'd love to see him get the chance to be in a goal line situation, but I'm willing to let Mularkey say when and where. The Cleveland scrimmage was only a tiny part of training camp. I'm sure there were other times when goal line situations were practiced and Travis has done well.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Why not WM and TH both on goalline

At least use the two backs as a Decoy.. Perfect chance to use the Two Headed Monster we heard about in Preseason.. One can stay in and block if you have to go with a pass, but line them up as twins or run the Wishbone with Sheldon.. Our Goaline Offense way way too predictable and it showed on the sack.

I think the question is, should Drew be the goaline QB?
