Not by 2.

At the very least, we would have gone to OT, and noone would have known what would have happened then.

I blame it directly on mularky/clements with the crappy play calling on 3rd and goal from the 1.

He missed an easy one and because of that, the coaches had NO confidence in him to make a slightly more difficult one.

That loss was the result of several mistakes and flukes, any of which would have not allowed the Jags to steal it. Lindell's performance bothers me, but to say it was his fault alone is inaccurate, imo. He's partially responsible but lots of other things could have also made the difference.

Bottom line: Lindell Blows

That's all that matters.

I didn't know 42 yards is easy. It's not tough but still not easy.

It's easy if you're an average NFL kicker.

When your paid a million bones a year to kick a ball, you better be damn good at it. Period.

Definitely wouldn't pin this solely on Lindell due to the turnovers, play calling and penalty's, but in no way would I feel even remotely comfortable if the game came down to Lindell putting one through the uprights.

He's not the one that made him the offer ... don't blame him for somebody else's mistake.

I blame him for his own mistakes. There's quite enough blame just for that.

Let me paraphrase this thread.....

I would rather have Norwood try a 42yard field goal than Lindell, any day of the week, any Super Bowl.

Lindell sucks.

If he made it, we'd have had that extra chance in OT.
If he didn't, we were garanteed the loss when the reg time ran out.
I see why log blames him.
I'm spreading the blame around, though. :cynic:

I refuse to believe that there isn't someone out there that TD can pick up who is better than Lindell.

You can blame whoever you want, Mularkey, Clements, Lindell, Moulds or whoever else you want to blame but the bottom line is that the Bills get the loss, not any one player from the Bills. There were people that made mistakes but the Bills still get the loss. Let's get ready to beat Oakland.

Get ready for Oakland by getting rid of Lindell!

I'll be watching Lindell's performance during that game with interest. If he isn't perfect (and MM doesn't puss out and not use him), we better have a new kicker by Wednesday.

If that's what it takes to be ready for Oakland then I'm fine with it. Just get a replacement.

We could have been up by 10 if we had a decent kicker. Not only did he cost us 3 by missing the FG, but he cost us another 3 because our coaches obviously have no confidence in him.

It was a team loss with many players making mistakes but Lindell is one of the players that made a crucila mistake due to his inferior kicking skills had a direct effect on the outcome of the game.
To be paid a million plus and suck at what he does is inexcusable. Last year he said he had a nagging injury. That is a cop out because he still sucks tis year.

One thing going for Lindell is, he's better than Arians who couldn't make 30 yd fgs.

We haven't had a good kicker since Pete Gogolak. :ill:

We could have played 100 times more aggressive on their last driving knowing that a TD wouldn't mean a loss.

This loss was directly related to Lindell for 2 reasons.
1) he missed an easy kick
2) Since the coach has no confidence in him he elected to punt rather than try a 50 yarder.
