We played not to lose at the end of the game

This team has no killer instinct. We were playing to to lose by running every play and trying to kill the clock. If we attack and score a TD the game is over. Instead we run every play and give them the ball back and go into a prevent defense?

If this is all the team has to offer then look foward to another 6-10 season.

    Bledsoe has never had that.

Yep, no killer instinct and the inability to punch it in when in the red zone. QB is a big reason for that IMO.

Well it was pretty much a disaster, losing to an inferior opponent you had controlled all game, a series of cascading mistakes and a string of desperation plays at the end, any of which would have ended the game.

          Sigh.

The one good thing that could come from it is remembering how easily it can all unravel. Call it killer instinct if you like, perhaps it's over-confidence, letting your guard down, whatever. There's enough veterans on this team that they can use it to their advantage when faced with that situation again. I still maintain the talent level on this team is capable of winning the division. But they just made it quite a bit harder than it needed to be.

It's tough finding a silver lining in this one but let's hope we see it in 12 or so weeks.

              Defense Too Conservative

Our Defense was as much at fault as the Offense..

No Blitzing and NO Pass Rush on that final series allowed Leftwich the chance to beat us with his arm instaed of having to rely on his SECOND yr QB mentality.

our O was conservative and our D in the end played not to lose. Call 911 we're turning into the dolphins.

I disagree, we moved the ball down field and then blundered our opportunities away. Not just at the end but the whole game.

                    Mistakes, mistakes mistakes.
