Then that leg just sat there. Minute after minute. Taunting me.

No I use a rub. I have an injector but don't use it for the deep fryer...I usually cook pretty big turkeys and the extra liquid can cause some issues in the fryer so I don't bother...but I might try it sometime. The rub works pretty well though.

I use a rub and inject my beer can chickens and they come out awesome! I have friends that use both on the turkeys when they deep fry them and they have had great results. Its my understanding that the deep fryer seals all the juices in. Not letting them escape into the fryer.
