I can't believe we didn't try to go for him. He's a damn good SS and would've been a pro bowler in our D! We could've gotten him cheap too!

The New England Patriots have reached a contract agreement with unrestricted free agent safety Victor Green, released by the New York Jets earlier this spring.
A nine-year veteran who had played his entire career with the Jets, the versatile Green for years has been one of the NFL's best but most underappreciated safeties, and he will further bolster an already-deep New England secondary. Green, 32, will sign a one-year contract, believed to include a base salary of $750,000. He likely will count just $450,000 against the Patriots' salary cap because of a new rule this year.
