I highly doubt the Bills are looking to make any changes right now. I believe this falls into the "Prepare for 2003" scenario. Similar to when Marcus Jones was brought in.....take a look at these players and update medical information and conditioning.

I wish they'd bring in more players during the offseason during FAcy.

Cedric Oglesby, K
Bashir Yamini, WR

Is it me, or does it always seem like we're shopping for some sort of bargain that rarely works out. All I remember is OG after OG and Cs getting snatche up while we needed one and many very good ones went for relatively cheap. We hardly brought any of them in.

It'll be an interesting offseason. Clearly FAcy for us will take precedence over the draft this year. Now that we have more levity cap-wise, we should be poised to make some better decisions.

I'll make a wild prediction...out of that 82 the bills brought in I'll bet that.....ZERO....ever play in the NFL.

Amen to that Eb.

I just hope this "budget mentality" doesn't carry over into next season.

You don't need to stock your team w/ preimeir players from head to toe, but you've gotta at least have a player or two at each group to be competitive. The exceptions to that rule are the lines where the better your line is, the better the players behind the lines are going to be.

An oustanding line will make even average skill position players look really good. Just ask Mark Rypien and some of teh Dallas players of old.

Wys, I don't see a budget mentality anywhere! Do you realize how much money the Bills spent in the offseason??? The salary cap made it hard to spend any more!

Holy smokes! I thought that was a joke at first! Should'nt GW be spending his extra time trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with his D instead of this!

I don't think that GW was concerned with this.

John Guy, Tom Modrak, and TD were likely to be much more involved with scouting these players.

82 players? Ralph probably spent 50grand or more on this and how many do you thing ever even make bills roster.

The over/under is 1

They could sign 11 guys and have a better defense than they have now.

Wonder when they are going to start bringing caoches in?

I don't think you have to worry about whether the Bills can afford to do this.

82 players at $500 for plane trip and per diem...include taxi money and you're at $400,000...if none of them stayed the night...thankfully it doesn't count against the cap.

who says the org picks up the tab

if you were seriously trying to make a football team, wouldnt you pay for your trip and lodging yourself? Just for the chance to try out for a pro team?

the team picks up the tab...if an out of town company wants you to come for a job interview then the company pays for it.

WOW!!!!!! 82 players. I agree with EE, they need to be bringing coaches in (and an entirely new defensive system).
