Offical TD has to GO NOW thread

Damn, wow this has really worked. Let's bring in TD, and not sign an offensive lineman that likes to block. Trade for a qb that hangs onto the ball too damn long. Trade our first round pick for qb that might be another year off. Draft a runningback when we already had a damn good one.

WHAT? this guy is supposed to know what he is doing?

FIRE HIM NOW Mr. Wilson. HEck let Van Miller be the gm, he couldn't do any bloody worse.

Count me in. I don't care if anyone likes what I say. TD has failed. I've been on his side but the proof is here. His plan, drafting, and product suck.

Funny ... this offseason, there were a lot of people calling me and Cynical overeager for saying this was a put up or shut up year for TD (not saying either of you two were one of them - I honestly can't remember). Now it seems that a lot of people are saying he needs to go and none of the people that called Cynical and I out (DD, Philster are two that come to mind) are sticking up for TD.

I have a few thoughts about this.

Ralph gave TD a 5-year contract. I think having a GM go into the final year of his contract is foolish - it opens the door for him to overly sacrifice the future for the sake of the current year in order to get a better record and thus a renewal on his contract.

That said, I think under normal circumstances, TD should be evaluated after this season and (if things continue) not renewed. However, I agree with you that Ralph will most likely not fire him (although when he sees the season ticket renewal rate, that may change). But there is no way he will extend him after this season.

So we go into next season with a GM who has made a lot of bad decisions scrambling to get into the playoffs in order to keep his job (no matter how much Ralph likes TD, I can't see him renewing him after 5 non-playoff seasons). That's a very scary thought IMO.

Give Tom the boot. He hasn't gotten it done. Its nothing against him personally, he was just incapable of building a winning ballclub in Buffalo. Period.

Well....he did build a 17-33 ballclub, and is currently riding a 5 game losing streak since last year. That's gotta count for something.

I'm sorry- I didn't realize I had to run to the computer every day to post to satisfy ya.

I'm still in TD's corner. He has acquired a solid defense and managed the cap well from where he took over.

G Dub was a bust, and I'm not going to run these coaches out after 2 games. The OL sucks, but I'm not going to pay Woody $28 million or whatever he got.

Woody now or Schobel for the next 5 years? I'll stand by TD's decision.

The game has passed TD by...get him the out of here before he jeopardizes the future of this club any further.

Oddly- 2 yards are between us and 2-0 right now.
