Considering the kind of QB Farve is that is very surprising.

The WR who last got over 200 yards? Don Beebe. Not bad for a guy who supposedly had only speed. He also had record for most receptions at one point.

200 Yards Receiving
BY PACKERS - Don Beebe, Oct. 14, 1996, vs. San Francisco (220 yards)

I think there are a lot of football fans who never understood how good a WR Beebe was; if not for the Leon Lett strip in Superbowl and record for most Superbowl appearances most never would have heard of him.

I watched that one...a MNF tilt..it was beautiful watching Beebe being the main focus like that.

They just took 3 yards away. Down to 198 :snicker:

And the 2004 Packer WR didn't make it - three yards were taken away from player after I posted message. Beebe still holds the record.

Always will remember Beebe saying "this one is for the Bills fans too" when he won the SB in GB. Class act.

I remember when Don was here in Buffalo watching the Bills-Packers game a few years back and a few Packers players asked him who he was rooting for. He didn't come right out and say it, but everyone knew he was pulling for the Bills.

Yeah I remember that game! It was the first year my website was up and I got a few e-mails from Packers fans from my posts in newsgroups who thought that Beebe was their best Free Agent acquisition and wondered why Buffalo gave him up (exposed him in expansion draft). I told them I just shook my head when they did that. One even sent me a "thank you" note after Superbowl win.

 You mean Beebe, right? Cause we never had Favre

Yeah. He said he was the best FA acquisition since they got Farve.
