Sorry I don't work at the gas station. They don't allow radios at the office.

Thanks anyway. :D

I'd like to see him play DE with his speed and size he would be awsome.

Anyone else kinda excited about this move? I mean... 300+ of athletic TE playing OT? Interesting!

It is about time they made this move. He has no chance as a TE, but his athletic ability is enough to make him an interesting project at tackle.

maybe the finally figured out they need to move big mike to guard??

He'd make a great eligiable tackle inside the red zone too. Two TE set, play action pass.

Why is everyone so bent out of shape about this kid? He's nothing.

There are big kids that go undrafted every year. There are athletic people with no physical talent whatsoever.

We might as well go after bodybuilders if we're going to get excited about Peters.

lol..HR, you and I are on the same page today that's for sure. I was just going to post the same thing and you beat me to it.

The fact that we are even thinking about putting a TE at tackle shows how screwed up and utterly hopeless our oline situation is.

One one hand, it's good to see our coaches trying SOMETHING to fix the o-line. On the other hand, Mr. Cynical already said it:

Huh? Isn't being athletic all about having physical talent?

He was a tackle in college- but lost out to a much bigger, better Shawn Andrews (Philly's top pick this year)

They put him in at TE and he managed to catch 5 yard passes and then rumble through 230 pound linebackers for another 10-15 yards.

While his "numbers" look awesome (size, speed) his worst number apparently is his IQ. Rumors have it he's as dumb as a box of rocks. Many draft publications had him as a top 5 TE in the draft, going as high as the 3rd round, 32 clubs passed on him over 230 times. They must habve known something.

If anyone needs NFLE- it's him.

This is even more reason to not be excited. If you look at all the successful olines, they are full of smart guys. You need to understand the cadences, blocking schemes, etc., backwards and forwards, especially when audibles are called.

I say we should know better than judging someone's talent before they prove or disprove it on the field. How many busts have we had......we are due for a diamond in the rough steal. I hope they work with this guy, we might see him making a contribution in the next couple of years.

I don't want to see him on the field this year (unless injuries decimate us and he becomes a reserve DT or DE)....but I think we should at least give him a shot at some point.

Just because someone looks stupid or can't read (maybe why he scored real low on the wunderlic) doesn't mean they can't ball. Look at Christian Okoye.

Some people just have football smarts. He may be a guy who is as dumb as rocks academically but get him into a film room he may be able to break down plays or out on the field he can find those weaknesses on another team.

I'm not sure what to think. Cautiously hopeful, I guess. He was a very good college talent who went undrafted, that's scary. He was a TE for the better part of his college career, that's scary. However, through playing TE, he's at the very least attempted to block DE's. I honestly don't remember how his blocking was in college. If it was good, I'm interested. If he was average or below as a blocker, I'm very nervous. Either way, I'm curious. Tackle eligible around the goal line?
