All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Hey, life goes on. Other than missing the games on CBC on Saturday night, this will have very little impact on the fans that live outside of NHL cities (the majority of Canadian hockey fans). My NHL Centre Ice package has no programming on it right now, but oddly, I honestly don't give a crap.
If you need your hockey fix, go down the road to Erie to see the Otters or to Rochacha to see the Amerks.
The good that I see coming out of this whole debacle is it will separate the fans of hockey from the NHL fans. The fans of hockey should be unaffected because the game still goes on at the 10,000 levels that are played outside of the NHL.
I'm not up on any current happenings. Is there ANY chance of getting a season in or are we basically looking at next year as best-case scenario, if ever?
