Cleaning up the garage last month and I came upon some of my old Stephen King books. Several of them are first edition hard covers.

Well thanks to the big ol interweb I found out that some of them are quite valuable. My first edition Carrie is selling for $2500. Others I have are worth between 250-500.

I even have the original paperback versions of the Bachman books and not the one that was compiled together. The rarest one of them is Rage and it's selling for $750. The other three range in price from 80-250.

why?
I have to leave my kids something valuable when I croak.

My son will get all my sports cards and my daughter will get my books.

My wife will get the funeral bills.

Hmmm....I wonder which of my daughters I should leave my beer bottle collection to?

Eb, just a thought...

If it was called "progressive" rock back in the 70's, can you really still call it "progressive" ?

I'm sure that buggy whips were progressive at one time, but now they're just quaint.

Why get 2 grand for them. It is like getting a free 2 grand. Now you have to hold onto them and make sure nothing happens to them.

And now I have tp update them for insurance purposes.

Any tips Thurm? Do authentic appraisals work? Are photos good enough?
