    Rhythm not thrown off by their line dance

    They comprised one of the steadiest units in the NFL last season, so much so that the Patriots' offensive line made their lineup changes at the beginning and end of the season go virtually unnoticed.

    Tom Ashworth was a substitute for the first three games before settling in as a starter at right tackle. Russ Hochstein started three games at left guard. Dan Koppen came off the bench for the first game then started the rest of the season at center. The starter who made the most shifts was center/guard Damien Woody, who signed with the Lions in the offseason as a free agent.
