I just got a call from the league convenor asking me to head coach my son's Novice house-league team. The coach that they had lined up quit at the last minute, so they needed a Hockey Canada carded coach in a hurry...first practice is tomorrow at 9:00 AM.
The good news is that I have the top-rated Novice player in North Bay (we had the #1 draft pick) to work with.
The bad news is they're 7 and 8 year old boys. My job will be mostly to keep them from killing each other. :D
