How many years does Mularkey have?

I'd say this year and the next. Unless there's a bizaree chain of events coming into next year, there's no excuse for doing bad next year.

Agreed. I'm have no more patience. If he can't get it done by then, TD goes with him!

You have to give him at least 3 years.

Bills did not give him a 5 year contract to cut him if not immediately successful.

I'm not gonna settle for 5 years of mediocrity.

There is no way Ralph is going to let TD hire yet another coach. So, if the team is not doing well by end of next season, TD will be gone and as a result so will MM (because the new GM will most likely want his own coach)

I'd have to say at the very least he gets 3 years.

I really don't know how a GM gets the authority to give a coach a contract so much longer than his own. That 5-year contract, especially for a rookie coach, is about the strangest thing I've ever seen.

TD is the team President, not just the GM

And that is the #1 reason we are where we are today IMO.

My point is that a manager at any level should not be able to give a key subordinate a contract that is significantly longer than his own. It's a stupid way to run a business.

TD's actual title/responsibility is irrelevant - Mularkey is still his highest ranking subordinate.
