100% agree!! Unless you have an all-star line, pocket passers like Drew are a waste in today's NFL.

I think you still need to have a QB who can succeed in the pocket. Mobile QB's who can't pass from the pocket (aside from Vick) never seem to have success in the playoffs.

Brady, Pennington, Manning, McNair, Green (the best QB's in the AFC IMO) are all QB's capable of passing in the pocket.

More important than mobility, is the ability to buy time in the pocket - that can be done with a sidestep or stepping up into the pocket depending on where the pressure is coming from. You do not need speed to do that.

I'm not arguing that. But I AM saying Drew is not in the same league as any of them. :down:

I agree with that but I don't think that should prevent us from getting a pocket QB in the future.

I'm talking about a pocket "only" passer...that seems to be the only kind of QB the Bill's have ever been interested in since Kelly. And he wasn't exactly mobile either! :cynic:
