Before he got hurt Cowart made more of an impact on defense than either Spikes or Fletcher have done in a Bill's uniform so far. Granted Fletcher has been the leading tackler in the last few years but most of them are 5 yards downfield and I think that he is a little over rated. Spikes is always good for a couples of big hits per game but neither one of these guys have matched the amount negative plays behind the line of scrimmage the way Cowart used to in his prime. He used to have a nose for the ball and was always in on most tackles. Both of these guys are getting paid bigtime money, I think that they should be making a little more of an impact on defense.

With the exception of the New England game last year I am still waiting to see what the big deal is about Takeo Spikes. I was told by some guys that he was an impact/great player. He is good at best with flashed of greatness.
