    Player of the Week (3)

    This one isn't easy.

But there are a few performances worth noting.

    Fred Jackson - 10 CAR -72 Yards, 4 Rec - 37 Yards
Aaron Williams - 3 Tackles, but performed better than expected when asked to cover the corner.
Manny Lawson - 11 Tackles The only competent player against the run yesterday.
Scott Chandler - 5 Rec -79 Yards, 1TD. Certainly Chandler's best game since returning from his injury. His most disciplined game of the year too.

    The poll is expired.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I voted for FJ simply because he is the only player that appeared to bring any intensity to the field yesterday.

Lawson for me. I love Fred, and it's true he has the necessary intensity, but aside from the 59 yd run, he didn't do much in our running game, whereas Lawson was just about everywhere, and looks like one of our better off-season moves.

Aaron Williams didn't look bad because they didn't even try throwing at him with Rogers on the other side.

              I vote Kris Wilson.

He kept the tying TD drive going by racking up personal foul penalties.
