I just did a little study from the NFL's list of centers. I'll spare you most of the names, but nine of 32 NFL starting centers weigh less than Teague according to NFL stats, the lightest being Chiefs center Casey Wiegmann at 285. Teague is listed as 300 lbs. So are a bunch of others. a handful of centers are listed at 305, and only two starters were listed at 310. No one was listed any heavier if they were a starter. Bottom line is that Teague is smack dab in the middle of average for NFL centers. If anything, he's taller than average, and that may mean he has to work harder to keep lower in his stance. I think all the positive reports we've gotten about Teagues play from trainging camp through the first three games means basically that he was starved for good coaching.
I just thought I'd bring this up since Teague's injury puts him in the news this week.
