ISTHIS REAL!!!!!

BAM

Interesting. I'm glad they're trying to send a message to the team, but I dunno If I would've chosen to cut Shaw... probably someone from the O-line.

Shaw sucks, Last year Larry Felser said that he heard that Shaw is always running the wrong or Bad routes! He did it once or twice during the Jets game. I hope it works out.

The only reason to keep Shaw around was kick returns.

We have Clay Aiken!!!

Shaw? He's been better than Reed.

Ebenezer

Cut Shaw?? Milloy must be out longer than expect or PP would be on the cut list.

Ebenezer

btw, he is a vested vet...his salary counts against the cap this year...$900,000 savings next year.

Good, glad their doing something and showing the fans that they know the situation. I'm gonna guess that Shaw said something negative in the locker room after the Jets game or something.

I'm sure we'll learn alot more in the next few weeks.

Mr. Miyagi
10-13-2004, 12:48 PM
It'll be no later than tomorrow we'll hear something. Shaw will vent to the media.

Fast Freddie Smith?? :idunno:

We should consider signing a 3rd QB for the Baltimore game. Bledsoe might not last 2 series' and Matthews will be running for his life.... and i don't want Losman anywhere near that beast Ray Lewis.

I wonder if there is any O-line players out there that could help us out. They would be learning on the fly, but it probably wouldn't get any worse than it is now

The King
10-13-2004, 12:54 PM
I would like to see a trade come from this opposed to us just cutting him. Although I really dont know what Shaws value would be he is a solid #3 even a potential #2 for a team with terrible WR's.

That would only be a guess Demon.. If I were going to guess I would say it would be a financial move, and mabe to let Reed know that It's his spot to lose.. I'd put Aiken behind him on the depth chart.

If this indeed really happened, I am not a fan of this decision. Why cut a 3rd string WR to make a point? IF you are gonna cut anyone, cut Reed! That would be sending the message!

sorry, the alternative is worse...With no JJ after this season, your tackles would be Marcus Price (who can't cut the starting line up now) and Dylan McFarland.

I agree with this mentality.... are we forgetting how Bobby helped us last year in Moulds absence. He has played better than Reed This year, but as a GM i guess you cant cut a guy YOU drafted only 3 years ago.

I think there is a trade in the works.

It seems to me that Bobby Shaw was in on a fair amount of the very few third down plays that were actually converted. In fact, if he wasn't on this team last season, I'm not too sure we would have had any 3rd down conversions.

Based upon performance, I don't see how they selected him to be the scapegoat. Now, we'll have to wait and see what other tidbits materialize.

Regardless of the reasons for doing so, cutting Bobby Shaw will not do anything to fix the offense line.

Shaw will get picked up by someone. I don't like the move, but if they had to cut a receiver, I guess it makes the most sense to cut him instead of one of the younger guys.

I'm guessing that this has more to do with something that happened with Shaw behind closed doors than it does with Ralph's criticism of the offense.

Rice to the team that stopped his streak?? There is some irony for you. Gee, you think EM will give up 80 for him?

LOL that would be the steal of the century.

"The Buffalo Bills officially completes a trade with the Dallas Cowboys this morning. Wide receiver Bobby Shaw and a handful of Bill Parcells cross-dressing Polaroid shots are going to Dallas for their 2005 1st round draft pick."

I am definitley curious... Shaw had some decent moments. I didn't see anything in his play suggesting Reed was better. Weird. I guess its just a "gotta do something" move.
The headline should read. "FOUND; BOBBY SHAW REASON BILLS OFFENSE BORING"

Let's release Joe Burns next, that will have a significant effect.

Another thought..... didnt Keenan McCardell talk to Gruden yesterday about a possible trade?

Although I gotta say we really should be looking for someone on one of our lines not another WR.

Possible explanation: The offense watched the tape of the game. The play where Bledsoe hits Shaw between the 8 and the 1 on his back is shown.

MM: You know Bobby you're supposed to turn in on that play. If you did the ball would have hit you in the hands instead of your back.

BS: You ain't paying me enough to turn to my left. I'm barely getting enough to turn to my right. Make me the # 2 and give me a raise and I'll be glad to turn both ways.

MM: See me in my office after the meeting Bobby.

Was that the play in the last series? Man you know somethings messed up when you've got two receivers that close together.

The killer part is that neither of them were in the endzone. :ill:
