Colts sign new backup QB, release Hamilton

The Indianapolis Colts signed quarterback Travis Brown to their practice squad on Wednesday and released former Georgia Tech star Joe Hamilton.

Brown spent the last three seasons with the Buffalo Bills before reaching an injury settlement with the Bills in September. The agreement allowed Brown to become a free agent.

Uhh, this doesn't mean he won't be back. He was only signed to a practice squad and the Bills could take his off their PS if they wanted to sign him after week 10.

Travis will be activatrd as soon as he learns the offense. Since the Colts have a bye this week, he'll probably be on the field as Peyton's b/up for the Jax game.

This is a perfect fit for both the Colts and TB.

Travis will fit right into that offense.
