    Zone Originals: A look back

    Bills vs Dolphins: Bill Choinski
The Bills and Dolphins have played at least twice every season since 1966, with Miami holding a 49-30-1 overall series lead (46-27-1 in the reg. season). The home team has won 11 of the past 16 games and the team winning the turnover battle has taken 14 of the past 15. A year ago, the Bills lost both games against the Dolphins and in 2002, the Bills were victorious in both games.

1968- Elbert Dubenion, the Bills all time reception leader, announces his retirement. Coach Harvey Johnson immediately assigns Dubenion to the Bills scouting department.

1959- Ralph Wilson tries to secure a lease with the city of Miami to put an AFL team there, and is flatly denied. Wilson then decides on the city of Buffalo, and it’s depression-era War Memorial Stadium.
