Chidi wants out of Miami now

He says it's because he's not a key part of the team. I think he just wants out of a sinking ship.

Defensive lineman Chidi Ahanotu didn't report to the Dolphins on Wednesday in hopes of being released or traded.

Ahanotu, a 12-year veteran signed at the end of the preseason, said the decision stemmed from the desire to join a team that would give him more playing time. Ahanotu took part in significant snaps in only one of the first five games.

"I could get paid for doing nothing, but I'm not like that," said Ahanotu, who had signed a one-year, $760,000 contract. "I don't play for the money. I play because I love to play the game, and I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel that this organization has me being a major part of the team."

When I die, please don't let my wife sell my camera equipment for what I told her I paid for it.

Little-used veteran walks out on 0-5 Miami

Upset at a lack of playing time, veteran defensive end Chidi Ahanotu has gone AWOL from the Miami Dolphins and requested a trade from the winless franchise.

Wasn't he the player that lived in Toronto and had a driver transport him to Buffalo as needed?

Wanny is so gone after this season. It may not all be his fault, but he's lost control of this team.

I have fond memories of Chidi in the Metrodome. His hair looked like a damn pineapple.

When news broke of this yesterday at finheaven, the general consensus was who? Uh, ok sure cut him then. Nobody cares about this guy in Miami and he was signed shortly before the season on a vet minimum deal I believe. If he doesn't want to stay, then I see no reason to keep him.
