Is there any possibility of the Bills to incorporate a red alternate jersey to accentuate the helmet for some of the home games?

TD: We have certain rules that we have to follow in the National Football League with regard to jerseys and equipment. We have made it known that next year we are in the process of developing a throwback jersey that we will use next season after League approval.

Throw back the jersey to 1991...and the team!

There is a difference between throwback and alternate. If it's throwback, like TD says, it won't be Red.

I'd love to see a red alternate (IMO that color combo. they used earlier in camp looked pretty good).

I agree. TD took some very tough questions and did a pretty good job with them. I know he wanted to punch someone out for them though. :snicker:

As long as it doesnt have light blue numbers with a red stripe on the side, it'll be OK.

Exactly how will a red jersey accentuate a red helmet???? If anything, it will take away from the redness of the helmet.

I'm very concerned about this!!!

Our unis suck so bad right now I don't see how they could get much worse.

I guess a throwback would be like the powder blues that the chargers wear once a year (limit by the NFL). So I would assume it would be maybe the old 70s unis, and maybe the standing red buffalo/white helmet combo.

Screw the new jersey, just give us our old 90's Uni's back... :unhappy:

Then they added Stripey with thicker stripes on the sleeves in the mid 1970's through 2001. They added Blue "slacks" in 1973, and stayed with those in combination with the road whites through the mid 1980's.

In 1984 the next big leap was a red helmet - and they played in the white uni's at home (With blue pants)

I guess they wanted to go the Dallas cowboy route with that one.
It lasted only two seasons.

I also like the white with white pants, but get rid of the Blue on the shoulders and replace the lighter blue numbers with the darker blue numbers (Like on the training camp white jerseys)- but I'd outline them with the gray border (like the blue home jerseys)

Great pics Dozer - thanks.

My biggest beef with the current unis is the mismatch with the stripes along the side of the jersey and the pants. Look at Denver - that is alot better IMO. Either lose the side stripe on the jersey or make it match up on the pants. As it stands now it is just an ugly mistmatched mess.

Also the stripes on the blue pants are HORRIBLE. Way too many.

K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid. If they can fix those lines it will go a long way to making them look better imo.

Although I still think the Bruce pics show the best unis. :D

That whole color scheme down to the striped socks makes that the all time best Uni. that OJ has on.

The red in the socks sets it off.

Who the hell says TD will even have a chance to develop these throwback jerseys next year?

I sure as hell hope he isn't around to make them.

I like the new uni's with dark pants always, and I wish they'd drop the light blue, and go navy all the way.
I'd still like to have the old red, white&blue, but if you're going to change, go all out, not halfway!
And the one thing we're really missing, is some bling, like a big fat diamond SB RING!!!
GO BILLS!!!

We have so many more problems right now than worry about uniforms its not even funny. But personally, my favorite Uni and logo ever is the Patriots, the one right before the one they have now with the Patriot hiking the ball, those are sweet, i love them i dont know why.

The helmet would look better white imo.

i used to have a red Moulds alternate but it ripped. It was nice.

* I agree that the home ones look better with white pants.

Same here. The old logo was sweet, although I like the new unis better. The new logo sucks imo. Total USFL. And they started the whole swooshy trend to, e.g., jax, panthers, etc.

Either the all white Gilchrist ones, or the Ferguson look shown are good for me. And standing buffalo all the way! Ralph was always too cheap to buy alternate helmets.

What is that Jets' player behind #50 doing? I guess back in the day, we would hire guys on the opposing team to block for us too! Why haven't we tried that this year?
