Well not really, but the reassignment is the same as being fired.

We needed Dennis Green as our coach!

Cardinals coach Dennis Green made another surprising move Friday when he “re-assigned” offensive line coach Bob Wylie to a player-evaluation role, effectively firing Wylie from his coaching job.
