The session was a full pads practice and included some hard hitting. They worked on a bunch of different plays. 6 on 7 was one of the popular ones to work on. This is where the offense has six guys out in the field, including the quarterback, while the defense has seven guys out there. The lines are not used in this drill.

In the 6 on 7 drill, #11 Drew Bledsoe looked pretty good. He completed a 10 yard pass to #80 Eric Moulds, followed by a 15 yard pass to #39 Richard Huntley. He then found Dave Moore for a 12 yard gain. Drew also hit #85 Jay Riemersma for a 20 yard gain. Right before the rotation, Bledsoe threw a pass towards Riemersma and it was tipped and intercepted by #27 Coy Wire. #10 Alex Van Pelt took over and went through all four downs without completing a pass. He overthrew #81 Peerless Price and just missed #82 Josh Reed. #5 Travis Brown had a pretty good set of downs and threw a really nice 9 yard pass to #46 Joe Burns. He then hit Centers for a 6 yard gain. Travis also has an interception. Billy Jenkins took a pass from Brown and ran it for about 15 yards. The 6 on 7 drill ended when Travis Brown had Moulds in and found him for a 30 yard touchdown!....MORE (http://www.billszone.com/YourSite/global/templates/view.php?action=YourSite_content&month=7&state=news&nid=262)

So, what do you all think? This is my first report where I took detailed notes at camp. I tried to give you all a flavor of EXACTLY what was happening. :D

good job. If it would be possible to combine the player spotlights and this type of report it would be perfect. Good job though. I really appreciate it.

Yeah, I will do that. I have to combine the good details with the spotlights! Thanks for the tip, CalBillsFan!

I now lay claim to the phrase "you don't know squat". If you use it you owe me a dollar. If you use it on Rude, I'll pay you a dollar. :)
