3-0 with Willis as a starter.

3 starts, 100+ yards in each game, 3 TDs.

Where are the Henry supporters?

does his yards per carry worry anyone?

i love the fact that he has 3 100 yard games and we are winning with him.. but he had a ton of carries today.. 37 to be exact..

Who cares. 37 carries means we are a ball control team. Did you see the time of possession? We OWNED the Jets in that department.

Nope. Doesn't worry me at all. He breaks long ones off frequently. Some of the runs for losses today were not his fault... he got met a few times yards behind the line. He'll be just fine IMO.

well alot of those carries was because we were trying to kill time, cuz we had the lead.

look.. i am not complaining.. i would just much rather see him with 200 yards on 37 carries and we win by a blowout. :D

I think as he gets his groove going, we may just see those kind of numbers from him. He sure does change the game for us. It's nice to see defenses having to respect him and not just blitz Drew every single play.

Guys..he's not that good. If you take away his four longest runs....

I'd rather have a guy who busts a few than a 3 yards and a cloud of dust snail

26 carries 111 v. Dolphins-4.2 ypc
30-102 v. Cards-3.4
37-132 v. Jets-3.6

Im not too worried. He has showed he can carry a load of carries which tells me alot.

132 yrs?

He runs pretty good for an old guy.

;-)

Low number of yards per carry? Funny how when the team loses, the first thing people say is "But Drew threw for 250 and hit Moulds deep several times, he doesn't suck", but all Willis has done is won in his first three starts with a buck and change running each game, and there are complaints about the average.

Yeah, that's fair, seeing how I complain that Drew 'averages' 4 sacks a game, people should be able to complain about Willis' 'low' numbers. PLEASE PEOPLE!

Did anyone saying that actually watch how many times WM drove for an extra 5 yards, or evaded ****ty run blocking and made something happen out wide?

Henry came in and did the same old 'bang straight ahead into the line and try to break through.' That only works when the line creates a hint of an opening for him to sneak through.

Willis is the last guy that should be taking **** in this offense.

Does his yards per carry worry me? NO! All I care about is the results....especially the TD run! Stats are for losers.

The fact that he had 37 carries is a GOOD thing. I'd much rather see a Bills running back with 37 carries than Drew passing 50 times per game.

To quote you:
"he has 3 100 yard games and we are winning with him.. but..."
What's your point? The most important thing you said there was "we're winning". That's ALL that matters in my book!

He is doing really well, I am very surprised at what he has done thus far.

We are 3-0 when McGahee rushes for 100 yards and 0-5 when McGahee and henry does not...Not a coincidence either...

You have to take in consideration that 4 to 5 carries a game (probably more) the Bills are 1st and goal or in short yardage dituations and the D is playing him tight so he may only gain 1 or 2 yards. Which sounds obvious enough, but just like a 40 yard run may skew an RB's ypc for the game 4-6 carries in the above situation will also do that. Aint worried about it myself.

Tatonka, history shows rookie backs often have low ypc avereages. TOmlinson and Henry both avereaged under 4 (I think both were around 3.5ypc) in their rookie seasons.

He's got the ability, and he's helping us win.

For all intents and puposess he is. He didn't play a single down last year.

RB's don't need the mental maturation QB's do. It's all about ability.

he started off the game with 24 carries for about 111 yards if I remember correctly..4.6 yards a carry is nothing to sneeze at. They knew we were gonna run the ball in the end and stacked up to stop it...yet he still broke a couple of nice runs.

Don't forget that -8 yd run he had on the 3rd down before the last FG. He made the right decision to try to make something happen on that play since it was a third down. If he just runs straight ahead on that play he gets a yard or two and you're looking at a 37 for 142 day. That puts him a little closer to 4 ypc.
