From this morning's Rockland Jounal News:
"I don't think there's an excuse," said running back Curtis Martin, who was held to a season-low 67 yards by a defense that has held the Jets under 100 yards rushing twice this season.
Martin brushed aside questions about what effect the short week after the Monday night game might have had on the Jets.
"They kicked our butts today," he said. "The last time we lost, against New England, a lot of you were talking about us bouncing back, and my comment was that we didn't need to bounce back because we played a good game and they just outplayed us. "
"This is the type of game we have to bounce back from."
