It's been a while since the Bills generated national press and this week they caught the eye of Vic Carucci, even though every sports writer has a soft spot for the Buffalo Bills, IMHO.

Don't look now, but the Bills are slowly working their way back into being a factor in the AFC. They might have dug themselves too deep of a hole to have a realistic chance of reaching the postseason, but they clearly have a playoff-caliber defense. And for those of us who wondered what Tom Donahoe was thinking when he invested a first-round draft pick in a talented, but severely damaged, running back a year ago, Willis McGahee has this response: Three starts, three 100-yard games, three victories. …

The Bucs are 3-5 and talking playoffs.:idunno:

There are several decent teams with similar records....the rest of the season will be interesting.

Vic Carucci has deep roots here. I'll start thinking it is good when the Sunday morning shows have segments dedicated to the Bills. I really want to see us win this next road game though.

I don't think the Bucs will make the playoffs either. I love what's happening with the Bills, though. I think they are going to be a major force in 2005 and will not only make the playoffs, but do some damage when they get there

You are right, and if they would have had Brian Griese in as QB they probably would be thinking playoffs. This team has had so many injuries this year, thats why they are 3-5!!!

I liked this part the most from the Article... "And for those of us who wondered what Tom Donahoe was thinking when he invested a first-round draft pick in a talented, but severely damaged, running back a year ago, Willis McGahee has this response: Three starts, three 100-yard games, three victories. The Bucs are in a weaker division

That's where my blurb was quoted from.

And yeah, I agree. They need to tame down the post season discussions. Too soon.

ESPN's Monday Morning QB praised the OL, Bledsoe and especially McGahee yesterday for anybody who caught it. They compared us with the Bucs and talked about post season

The Bucs are in a weaker division
and a weaker conference. The AFC is so damn tough right now that the Bucs have a much better chance of making the playoffs than any other AFC 3-5 team. :sadwalk:
