    TV return/McGee Burnt toast Sub

Before everyone falls victom to the Hype of McGee being the athletic lockdown LCB to compliment Nate Clements at RCB, it may be beneficial to take a look at T-Mac Jets performances a little closer. First Wayne Chrebet ran wild in our secondary leaving McGee in the dust on his way to a team high in receptions and yards recieving.. not by coincidence our same struggling LCB was victomized by Santana Moss with a season breakout game amassing over 150 yds and catching what could've been a game altering TD when McGee fell downfor no apparent reason.

At the outset of the season it was thought that Kevin Thomas might be the backup that was closer to being ready to start at a cornerback position but due to the unfortunate injury to Vincent, McGee got his opporitunity to start. This start came at the same time as McGee was beginning to tear up opposing ST units with a few very impressive returns, with a few being called back on penalties.

Many began to see the Highlight shows giving T. McGee the spotlight for his return abilities and began to yearn for more Pub. The thoughts of T-Mac getting a few picks as the Starting LCB and taking them back to the house led many to annoint him as our Youthful Future at the LCB spot, But after watching his Two Starts against the Jets that may not be the case, and he does not look ready to make the Leap to the starting role, Yet.

TV has practiced a full week and is expected to be available this week against the Pats, Leading to talk and speculation that he may be plugged into the starting FS position if T-Mac appears to have the ability to hold down that LCB for the duration of the season. Vincint at FS, in many peoples opinion would be an upgrade to the Athletisism and Playmaking abilities of our Safety unit and might solidify a Defensive Secondary that has struggled to create Turnovers this year.

Troy Vincent moved to FS, leaving T. McGee to hold down the Corner may look good on paper, but actuality appears to be a move that might still be an Off-Season away.

Izzell Reese retaining his position at FS and Vincent returning to his LCB position will give this Bills Secondary the best chance to be successful with the present state of the team. Allowing T. Mcgee to develope as a Nickle back while polishing his cover abilities, along with being the Pro Bowl caliber performer in the Return game might be the role that mot helps this team to win Games this Season. There's always next year for a smoother transition into the starters position without the liabilities rushing the change could bring.

I agree with most of juice's post, other than the hard on for Reese...he blows.

Give examples of plays that Reese has been beat as opposed to the number of time Wire was toasted at SS, McGee Toasted at CB, or the Raiders game when R. Baker was beat for the game winning TD.

Reese plays FS without hurting the team and his run support is better than average.

I'm glad you agree with the post other than your mistake of viewing Good solid Safety play as me having a "Hard-On" for the guy.

I just didn't see where his play hurt the team against the Jets.. Again give me some examples of him being totally out of position.. Where are the huge outputs from opponents Passing game.. If it Aint broke ..

I would rather Vincent at CB at this point too.

I have to agree with Juice on this one. Sure, FS isn't the hardest position to come in and learn but I don't think that TV should be doing this. I think McGee could continue on the special teams and continue learning the cover skills as the nickel guy and completely shut down #3 WR's. It will only make our D that much better. Reese really hasn't done much to say he sucks.....I think stick with it for now. We are #2 in Defense right now and I would like to see it continue that way.

Before we get rid of anyone, (and I am unhappy with mcGhee lately), I want to see Gray for one game at least have the DBs play tight on the line and jam some people.

I think our guys are getting beat because they are laying 5, 10 yards off the line and hoping to recover with their speed. If we don't have a decent pass rush at the same time, the QB throws deep all day.

Watch this week when we play NE. They will jam Moulds & Co at the line. That has to disrupt rythm, yet our secondary will let WR's get up to full speed before covering them. It's not just McGhee it happens too either.

Jam guys at the line along with stepping up pressure on Brady, and he'll be forced into handing it off. Right into the strength of our run defense.

There is only an OJ Shrine

Brown and Reese are solid Players in the League that Bills fans seem to underappreciate.

Reese, we still have the services of and is playing solid at FS.

Brown we CUT, with the Makeshift Line we have now. And Just when you thought things were getting better for the Line, Big Mike goes down.

Mike was beginning to play into shape and was a HUGE part if our run game, and now who know how long we will be without him, the Run game has taken a huge step backwards, that goes to show how little depth we have on the O-Line.

Mikey, I bet my OJ Shrine doesn't compare to your Drew Live Crew, Bledsoe Memorial.

Reese may not have done anything bad, other than cost us a win against the Jags, but he hasn't done anything good either. He pushes guys out of bounds 15 yards down field. I could do that.

I would actually love to get my hand on an OJ jersey. That would be a sweet addition to my collection...or even an OJ autographed helmet or photo.
