Willis was looking forward to 6th round of draft

Q: Were you mentally prepared to not go in the first round in the NFL draft?

WM: I was ready for that. I was looking forward to the sixth round.

What does that tell you about expectations of being drafted in 1st round? Willis and his agent did not think a team would pay 1st round money to get him to sit out a year and rehab.

This is the second time in recent times that the Bills have gambled on thier first round draft pick. Jim Kelly comes to mind first. That seemed to work out pretty good.

I don't know would trading away a first round pick for a young QB be considered a gamble? No, not JP but RJ, yah the #9 overall pick (Randy Moss was avalible there, and Fred Taylor was picked there.) And not to forget a 4th rounder as well. That is a gamble we lost.

Hey, you win some you lose some. Maybe it's our turn this time.
