Bills to Sign Marcus Jones

It apparently is going to be a complicated contract since he probably won't be able to play this year. The Bills will also have to remove someone from the roster when they do sign him. WNSA reports that they will probably get the deal done and signed around monday/tuesday. Once they sign him they will just directly put him on injured reserve.

The line may be just about set for next year now, unless Buffalo picks up a real deal in a DT. They won't get anyone in the draft who can make the impact Jones can. That leaves outside linebacker and free safety to concentrate on in the draft, with maybe a little more quality depth at CB. That's probably not too much to shoot for given we don't have a first round pick. If we can get a solid starter at strong side OLB and free safety and Ron Edwards continues to develop, we could be a quantum leap better than this year.

This can be great news, I think he'll compliment Chidi well on the other side - we'll have a run stopper, and a sacker, and Ninja Williams in the middle.

he was taken in the first round, 22 overall.

he wont replace schobel... if he heals up, it may be the end of chidi.. but hopefully, we keep them both.

i think Schobel and Jones(if healthy) will be starting ends. decent pass rush. we still need to solve out DT woes.
