    Benching Drew would mean....

Tom Donahoe made a mistake. Anyone here think what's best for the team is not bigger than TD's ego as far as TD is concerened?

they won't bench DB because it would be more embarrassing to give Dallas a top 5 pick...they would rather try for a better record under DB than a better record under JP.

Well, TD made the ONE big mistake with GW. MANY people did't think the Bledsoe deal would be a mistake let alone a big mistake, but that is what it has turned out to be.

The team isn't more imporant to TD than his ego, but his wallet may be. Putting Losman in is probably the only way to get asses in the seats for the remaining home games.

The why didn't he keep other guy who used to wear no. 7 . . He did fill up the stadium but TD didn't care.

Cher, you made an excellent point last night when you said that the reason Drew will continue to start is because by benching him in favor of a rookie, you are demonstrating that you concede the season to be over. While there is still a chance to make up for past failure, that is likely the posiiton the team will take. I don't agree with it but we're just fans, what the hell do we know?

True, but we're not getting paid to make those decisions like he is. We're not the "professionals". The fact is TD made alot more than one mistake. GW and Drew are the two biggest, but there are many more. Our 20-37 record under his tenure is all the proof that's needed.

Justa - your point is well taken. He is a stubborn egotistcal ass and has taken this team into the toilet. Butler/Wade had a 3 year 29-19 record before TD came in. Yeah, the cap. I still have yet to see any significant results on the field from all the great accounting decisions TD has made. I've already posted numerous examples of teams turning it around in 2-3 years after a really bad year. Gvien the team was 8-8 when TD took over, why are we sitting at 20-37 after 4 years?

If his gambles on JP, WM and Evans don't pay off, he should be kicked in the ass and run out of town.

You can't say he made a huge mistake in picking his first HC and then at the same time condemn him for their poor record. Well you can, but it isn't very fair. I feel that he will get at LEAST the first two years of MM head coaching tenure to prove if he has either made the same mistake twice or not.

and he wasn't wrong. Everyone listened to GW and Gilbride and see what happened. In the end the entire team turned into Flutie especially Ruben.

The one thing I just thought about that might lead TD to play Bledsoe for the rest of the season is that if he plays JP this season, and JP sucks ass and shows no improvement, then there will be nothing to sell next season. If the fans had reason to believe that Losman was not the answer and that next season would be as bad or worse than this season, then season ticket sales would hit all-time lows. I wouldn't be surprised if Losman's performance against the Pats freaked TD out and now he'll be reluctant to play him at all this year.

No arguments there...it's just that as control hungry as GW was when he first got here, he wasn't going to have some second-rate QB playing it "his way"

I am so sick of hearing that Drew gives us the "best chance to win". It is such CRAP!!! Who the hell is to say that JP won't come in, calm down and light things up? (Big Ben???) And another thing, when Drew's passer rating for a game is worse than a broken-legged rookie with 5 snaps under his belt, than maybe it's time for a change. I seriously doubt for a second that One Bills Drive shares my sentiments, but oh well, screw it!
