View Full Version : The offense is just one horrid unit that makes itself worse.

The O-line can't run block, so the defense doesn't respect the play fake. Bledsoe can't beat a blitz, which puts more pressure on the O-line and the running game. Because he has no time to throw and no accuracy, the receivers have to run short routes which hurts their ability to get open. The offense's failure just keeps feeding itself.

I think it starts with the O-line. Not to make excuse for Drew- part of the problem is that he hasn't earned the respect of defenses. But when the O-line can stone the defense, it forces them to respect both the run and the pass and allows the skill players to make the most of their talents.

A lack of reciever options for Bledsoe to go to also made his passes predictable, Keying on DB's favorite target was the first step at rendering the Offense ineffective.. The Pats maintaining their Run Gap responsibilities shut down the Run Game, and once we abandoned the Run they began to bring the heat with Blitzes, that exposed our pathetic line, and their inability to either Run or Pass Block effectively.

Limiting our offensive options, which were already limited by Reed's being injured and Shaw's being released for no good reason, was part of the Pats gameplan to bring this team to its knees.. Resulting in the Pats getting a lead and then being disapplined in their responsibilies.
