    McNabb out for season

he broke his ankle, tough break for Philly fans (no pun intended)

Donovan McNabb probably will miss the rest of the regular season and could be out of the playoffs, too, because of a broken right ankle.

      Out for the regular season.

They don't need to shoot them up with anything they are already on enough drugs when they start the game.

I walked around (plus played "war games") on a busted ankle for 7 months. Then they "discovered" that it had broken and had to have surgery.

It's a shame really... I liked watching him play, the Eagles are now officially screwed. Props to him for playing out the game though.... that's why he's the undisputed team leader...

Yeah, good luck with Coy Detme.... With Philly getting screwed, and the Skins, Boys, and Giants all sucking, I guess NO ONE will win that division.

The Philadelphia Eagles will stick with Koy Detmer as their replacement for the injured Donovan McNabb despite reports that the team contacted former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman.

Donovan McNabb might not have surgery on the broken right ankle that could sideline him for the rest of the regular season.

The Eagles' quarterback returned to Philadelphia on Thursday with a cast on the ankle after meeting with a specialist in Houston. McNabb will wear the cast until he is examined again in about two weeks.

Although he could have surgery then, McNabb most likely will let the bone heal on its own, even though an operation might allow him to return to action earlier.
