    Bears sign Jeff George

...just figured I'd post it since it isn't up yet.

Free-agent quarterback Jeff George huddled with Bears officials and coaches in Chicago on Saturday, with the meeting going into the evening, ESPN.com has learned.

I hope the Bills never get THAT desperate.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I think Jeff George in the RIGHT system with RIGHT coach can be successful. Certainly better than anyone in Chicago right now. Better than our current backup Matthews IMO.

Don't be surprised if Drew Bledsoe is starting QB for the Bears next year...

The job is Grossman's. He's a lock- he just has to heal.

until the next time he breaks....

Jeff George signing is the most desperate of acts...

Jeff George is a darn good QB...if he keeps his head out of his arse.

I'm sure he can still throw a rocket....but his mobility is limited, knees are about shot.

And like Typo has stated he is very hard to get along with. This was quite apparent when he was with Minnesota.

My opinion..... just a slight patch job! Outcome will be the same!

I think he'll keep his mouth shut and play...as it should be clear to him now if he doesn't he'll never have a chance to play again.
