For the Bills to make the playoffs, the following would most likely need to happen:

Bills need to wins out, then…

Jets – need to at least split their remaining 6 games, with one of those losses coming against New England.

Baltimore and (Denver or San Diego) – Would need to lose 4 out of 6

Jax – would need to lose 3 of 6

Also, Cinci, Houston, and Tennessee cannot run the table either (to be safe)

Biggest problem with that IMO is Baltimore *must* lose 4 out of 6. Just don't see that happening. The jets stink, they'll lose 5 out of 6. The rest of it is very possible. I'm not sold on the chargers or jax.

Jets going >500 the rest of the way is very possible with Pennington's rotator cuff injury

Baltimore losing 4 of 6 or more is a very good bet as well- Heap and Jamal Lewis are all banged up and will miss a number of remaining games

Jax is also a candidate for a late season slide- injuries are depleating their defense and Leftwitch is banged up

Denver or San Diego slipping is a reach- both are playing well

Bills winning out is a very long shot indeed-the most improbable of all the scenarios listed

There is no way this team is making the playoffs... There are teams that are 7-3 right now that might not make it.

Playoffs? PLAYOFFS? There is no way this team makes the playoffs. I doubt we can even handle our end of the bargain let alone the Ravens, Broncos, & Chargers coming undone. Forget about it. The best I am hoping for is a strong finish, not giving up a high 1st round pick to Dallas, and some momentum going into next season. It really hurts to think how it could have been if we had a decent quarterback.

Let's take it one game and one week at a time. Even if we miss the playoffs, we are showing tons of positive signs for 2005.
