Now that he has a broken leg we won't get anything for him in a trade. The good news is we will have a really good backup. The bad news is he walks after next season

How bad is the injury?

If he's ready for next year, why wouldn't teams still trade for him?

Looking at this offensive line, I don't think he will be a Bill next year.

I had to ***** watch the game without volume due to the stoopit pats surround sound...what exactly happened to him??? It didn't look broken in the volumeless shot I saw!!!

If it's not a major break teams may still trade for him but they won't give us much for an guy thats had a broken leg 2 years in a row. I'd rather keep him and have the insurance than take or 4th or 5th rounder for him.

To tell you the truth, I have no problem holding on to TH for next season. With the way this team has been playing, a playoff run next year is mandatory. Travis isn't expensive, and having quality depth is how contenders stay in the thick of it when players go down. I'm not saying Willis is going to blow out a knee again, but what if he pulls a hammy or something and misses a couple of weeks? I'd much rather have TH back there to carry the load for a few games than almost any other depth backs. For what they'll get for him, I think Travis will be worth more to the Bills on the team.

If he would accept, I think Henry would make a GREAT backup.

and it is not that expensive...the danger is he can walk after the 2005 season with nothing in return...I would probably be ok with that...he is not a bad back up.

That doesn't mean squat. He could hold out or some bs like that...

If he helps us make the playoffs in 05 then walks and the team gets nothing, I'm fine with that as well.

henry is a team player.. i dont think he would sit out.. he would show up, make his 1.5 million next year.. and be out afterwards..

unless we get at least what we spent on him (a 2nd rounder).. i say keep him.

It seems like he's a bit like Steve "Captain Questionable" McNair...both guys are tough as nails and can play well through pain, but they have to be because they are always injured. It's gotta be some systematic thing, either genetic or structural, that ends up in certain players always being injured and other players being iron men. I don't think it's completely mental. You can put Leftwich in that category too.

We are talking about a broken leg, Henry will be ready next week.

I agree with keeping Henry. He's a quality back who provides good, cheap insurance behind Willis. In fact, he got hurt making a first down for us yesterday. I love the luxury of having 2 great running backs.

if we are offered anything less than a second rounder I say keep him as an insurance policy...I think Arizona would be tough if they traded for Henry and signed Brees as a free agent in the off-season..

$1.25 mil savings if he is cut....heck...I'd almost be tempted to try to extend him a year...

If only we could pry the bowling ball of his agent's lips long enough to negotiate.

Maybe TD should look for him before the Cleveland game :idunno:
