The Lions are cursed.

They had the best receiver corps in the leauge in Hakim and Schroeder. Fast, fearless, hands. . . they had it all.

They had the best young up and coming quarterback since John Elway, and he has two rings.

They have the best defensive line in the league, easy. Names like Porcher, Rogers, Ellis, and James Hall.

They have an all pro linebacker, Chris Clairborne, and stole the Buccaneers' best linebacker, Jeff Gootch, right from under their noses.

They have the best young cornerback tandem anybody could ask for.

What could have gone wrong?

Not even the top half of the league!!


Better recieving Corps top to bottom (No particular order). Some of these recieving tandems might not post prolific numbers with the QB's or OC's they are straddled with, but with the right teams, any of these guys are more talented than Detrioit's. Hell, I heard Schroeder got bumped to 3rd string last week.

Bills- Moulds/Price/Reed
Oak- Rice/Brown/Porter
Rams- Bruce/Holt/Prohel
Broncos Smith/McCafferty/Lellie
Jets- Coles/Moss/Cherbet- up and coming
Pats- Brown/Patten/ Branch
Saints Horn, Stallworth,Pathon
Bears- Booker/Robinson/Terrell/White- Probably the best 4 in the league
Steelers- Ward , Burress
Eagles- Thrash, Freeman, Pinkston
Browns- Jonson,Morgan,Carter,Northcutt

These teams are equal or better- second Tier

TB Bucs- Johnson & McCardell
GB- Driver, Glenn
Cowboys- Galloway/Ismael /Bryant- To bad they don't have a QB
Giants Toomer/Hilliard/Dixon If they can stay healthy

Teams with One guy who is better than your recievers combined-

SF- Owens is a one man Recieving Corps
Indy -Harrison/ismael/wayne
Vikes- Moss- Imagine if he took his job seriously

and MAYBE Tennesee

Miami is in flux. Who knows what will happen to Gadsen. If released, then add Miami to this list. With Gadson, move them to Tier 2- the bottom of Tier 2 (comparable to the Giants)

Kennison is a Joke. He quit on a team desperate for him in Denver in mid season. Morton has been a dissapointment... (Ex lion.. go figure)

SD- Skinny, fast overpaid white guy with a lot of guts but does not strike fear into DB's and a decent speed guy in C. Conway.

OK as far as receivers go I can see Baltimore is in a class with Detroit maybe. But Tennesee and SD are good football teams and don't deserve to be placed in with trash like Detroit I don't care what the category is. There is just no way to compare Detroit to Tennesee and SD they play in different leagues...really Detroit is in a different league they are just fooling us playing every week in the NFL.
