even a 100% luxury tax will not make the Sabres competitive...Salary Cap system like football (not basketball) or keep them locked out.

The owners now they cannot afford to lose this fight. This is going to be a long, long lockout.

Basically, it's just a matter of when they will declare the impasse, so they can bring the replacements in. :up:

Somebody told me that they must be in a lockout for at least a year, but I don't know if that is right or not. Then again, I was also told that if the NHL's offer can be considered the good offer, they can just declare an impasse at any point and bring in replacement players. Again, just speculation. Another problem is that the NHL operates in seperate countries, they must have different labor laws.
