    Footballguys.com on the Bills/Dolphins Matchup

good stuff.. this comes via email, from footballguys.com.. a ff site w/ a great message board that i know Log and a couple others use.. they do a weekly breakdown of matchups to help you determine who to start for your fantasy teams.. thought you guys might like to read the rushing matchups..

Miami's Travis Minor/Sammy Morris vs. The Buffalo Defense (Tough Matchup)

Sammy Morris couldn't get his ribs healed enough to play last week, so
Travis Minor carried the load for the Dolphins - he managed 22/47/0
rushing and 2/15/0 receiving in his role as lead running back last
week. Back in week 6, Sammy Morris did well vs. the Bills, with
18/91/0 rushing and 2/28/0 receiving. There isn't a lot of power on
this squad, but they do keep fighting hard each week.

Buffalo's D stuffed the Seahawks last week, holding Shaun Alexander
to13/39/0 rushing (17/55/0 as a team). They do the same thing
regularly, with a season average of only 96.8 rushing yards allowed
per game (3rd ranked: also, a mere 3 rushing scores allowed in 11
games). Over the past 4 weeks, they average 97 rushing yards and 0 TDs
given up per contest. This is one of the toughest all-around defensive
fronts in the league, folks (along with #1 Pittsburgh).

Morris is listed as doubtful this week. G Jeno James is questionable
(knee). RBs Rob Konrad (migraine) and Travis Minor (concussion) are
probable to play, as is G Taylor Whitley (foot). Buffalo's defensive
    front is in good shape.

The forecast for ProPlayer Stadium in Miami calls for a high of 82F
and a low of 67F with a 10% chance of rain - this is why people live
in South Florida despite hurricane season.

The Bills are clearly the superior unit in this matchup, but Morris
managed to do well against them earlier in the year. We think the
Dolphins will have a hard time repeating that feat, though.
Buffalo's Willis McGahee vs. The Miami Defense (Good Matchup)

McGahee trampled the Dolphins in his last start against them, back in
week 6, with 26/111/0 rushing and 3/31/0 receiving to his credit. This
week, key MLB Zach Thomas is sidelined due to a bad hamstring -
    McGahee's prospects look good.

He put up 28/116/4 rushing with 2/26/0 receiving last week - that's a
fantasy owner's dream game. The guy has 63/253/4 rushing and 6/65/0
receiving to his credit over the last 3 games - outstanding
    production.

Miami's 29th ranked rush defense (allowing an average of 136.6 rushing
yards per game this season) stuffed Kevan Barlow and company last week
(24/77/1), although they did give up a score to Maurice Hicks. The
team averages 105 rushing yards allowed per game over the last 4 weeks
(1 TD per game) - they have been playing pretty well.

One problem for the Dolphins is that their MLB Zach Thomas has a bad
hamstring pull and won't be able to play this Sunday. Neither will
fellow LB Tony Bua (quadriceps). LB Eddie Moore has a sore knee
(probable), and DT Mario Monds has an injured hand (probable). Buffalo
lost Travis Henry for a while to a leg injury (out) - it was
originally feared to be season ending, but turned out not to be as
    serious as was first thought.

The forecast for ProPlayer Stadium in Miami calls for a high of 82F
and a low of 67F with a 10% chance of rain - this is why people live
in South Florida despite hurricane season.

McGahee should enjoy a solid game vs. the Dolphins.

      Per ESPN:

      Sammy Morris
      Dec. 02 - OUT (Ribs)
Detail: Morris (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's game...

...so it looks like Minor if he plays. It is just going to be painful to watch their offense.

Miami needs more than a Minor adjustment on offence. They need a major overhaul.

                on the bills...

Buffalo's Passing Attack vs. The Miami Defense (Bad Matchup)

Drew Bledsoe showed signs of life last week in Seattle (but remember,
that was a home-coming of sorts, and he was playing in front of a lot
of friends and family) – 25/37 for 275 yards and 1 TD looks pretty
good, until you throw his 3 interceptions into the mix. He's a veteran
signal caller, but unlike Brett Favre or single malt Scotch, Bledsoe
hasn't aged very well. Anyway, he's still in the bottom echelon of
fantasy QBs if you look at his past 3 games (48/80 for 536 yards, 4
TDs and 7 interceptions, 27th among all fantasy signal callers) – you
probably shouldn't be starting him unless your other options are
pretty thin. Eric Moulds has seen over twice as many opportunities as
Lee Evans in the past 3 weeks (33 targets vs. 15), but his production
isn't markedly better (and could be worse, depending on your league's
scoring rules) 16/156/0 vs. 9/123/1. The bottom line here is that
neither of these guys is a #1, #2, or #3 fantasy WR at this juncture
of the season (unless the injury bug has thinned out your roster).
Bledsoe had a decent game against Miami back in week 6 (15/28 for 212
yards, 1 TD and 0 interceptions), but it wasn't a fantasy game for the
                ages.

Miami held San Francisco's Tim Rattay to a goose-egg in the scoring
department last week (23/38 for 181 yards, 0 TDs and 0 interceptions).
They are the league's top-ranked pass defense, allowing only 152.3
passing yards per game on average, with 11 TDs surrendered to date.
Over the past 4weeks, they have given up an average of 158 passing
yards and .7 TDs per outing. The Dolphins can play defense – that's
                not this team's problem.

Miami lists S Yeremiah Bell (knee) as probable to play. The Bills say
WR Josh Reed (knee) is questionable.

The forecast for ProPlayer Stadium in Miami calls for a high of 82F
and a low of 67F with a 10% chance of rain – this is why people live
in South Florida despite hurricane season.

It's always tough to throw the ball on the Dolphins.

                    here is miami

Miami's Passing Attack vs. The Buffalo Defense (Bad Matchup)

Whatever you think about A.J. Feeley's statistical production, you
have to admire his competitive fire. The guy has been battered and
injured in numerous ways, playing for a team going nowhere in 2004,
and yet he keeps on pitching the pigskin down the field. He was
                    productive against the 49ers injury-ravaged secondary (17/33 for 159
yards, 2 TDs and 1 interception) with a jammed and numb ring finger on
his throwing hand. Not surprisingly, his TDs went to Chris Chambers
(5/64/1) and Randy McMichael (2/28/1). They are his best weapons in
                    this phase of the game.

Last time around the block in week 6, Jay Fiedler was Miami's starter
                    (12/23 for 136 yards, 1 TD and 1 interception) – recent history
doesn't tell us much about this week 13 affair. 19/38 for 185 yards, 1
TD and 1 interception was what Matt Hasselbeck and the Seahawks
managed last week, which is right on pace for this unit (7th in the
NFL this season averaging 182.5 passing yards allowed per game, with
14 score surrendered to date). The Bills have one of the better
                    defenses in the league.

Buffalo has done without CB Troy Vincent (knee, questionable) for most
of the season. Miami has no new injuries of note to report aside from
the constellation of hurts that Feeley is dealing with – a bruised
gluteal region, sore finger on his throwing hand, and so forth – he's
                    probable to play.

The forecast for ProPlayer Stadium in Miami calls for a high of 82F
and a low of 67F with a 10% chance of rain – this is why people live

so a rookie can do what moulds is doing yardage wise, and add a td to that.. on half the targets?

moulds had 33 passes thrown at him.. evans had 15 passes thrown at him..

                          even if dredsoe is off..

moulds is not performing. dont make excuses for him just because you like him.. he has always been one of my favorite players too.. but he is not playing well and is DEFINATELY not earning his paycheck.

it would be one thing if evans numbers reflected the same struggles that moulds is having.. but they dont.

Did you see the clip last week of when Feely threw the TD pass on the sidelines. One of his teammates slapped him on the ass and he acted like he was just shot. I assumed it got hurt before that, but it was kind of funny seeing him jump from the pain of being slapped on the ass.
