Why didn't we let KC score on the last drive?

There was 4 something minutes left on the clock, the Bills had 2 timeouts left and were down by 1.

I was screaming at the TV saying let the Chiefs score. If you don't they will just run the clock out. Which they did.

If we would have let them score we would have been down by 8. A touchdown and 2 point conversion would have sent the game into overtime.

The odds would be alot better having our Offense score a Touchdown over our defense stopping someone.

I know you don't just let a team score but didn't the Packers or Bronco's do that in a Super Bowl?

Or we could have stopped them when they had 3rd and short, they would have punted and we would of had the ball with 2 minutes left down by 1.

I don't understand that either TDRJ. Do what it takes to win.

Holmes first 4 rushes of the last drive went for 15,12,8 and 9 yards.

After the first 2 rushes you knew the game was over. Should have let them score on the 3rd rush.

Maybe true but I don't think you should just give up at stopping them, especially when the ball is around midfield or in their zone.

I mean we had stopped them from running it all up until that point, we should have felt like we could have stopped them again.

You can't let someone score with 4 minutes on the clock. Plus the defense had played quite well most of the game. But on this play:

1-10 at BUF 28 Priest Holmes (KAN) rushed left side for 4 yards.

We should have let him score. This was the play before the kneel downs. They needed to run a play in that situation because if they had knelt down they would have ended up kicking a fieldgoal and kicking the ball back to us. Running the play took ten seconds off the clock the kneel downs would not have covered. We should have let them score there and got the ball back with 40+ seconds on the clock and an eight point deficit. This was a huge mistake on GW part.

                    TDRJ, That premise is ridiculous.

Maybe it's a different scenario if the Bills just turned it over deep in their end, down by 1 but with a time out or two. But even then, the odds of scoring a TD and a 2 pt conversion, just to tie, is slim and none.

Even if you drew the conclusion that you could not stop PH after just 2 runs, what makes you think that it will be any different in OT?

And if I'm KC, I would have gone for 2 and put the game out of reach. If i missed, It's still a 7 point game with a minute left.

If you look at the gameday thread I thought of that before they ran the play. If I can think of it GW better think of it because he is getting paid the big bucks.

I don't think it's ridiculous at all! There was about 2 minutes on the clock, and they were down to our 30 or so. If we let Holmes run it in, we still have aminute and a half to score 8.

It's rediculous to let them score when the defense can stop them and there will still be time on the clock.

It is ridiculous! if the other team was smart and they knew we wouldn't tackle them, they could just hike the ball and stand there in the middle of the field until the clock ran out.
